District Fall Camp 1999

On Oct. 15-17, 1999 we held a camp at the District Camp Property. Friday at 6:00 to 7:00 PM we arrived at camp and put our tents up and put our gear in the tent. From 8:00 PM till bed time we had free time to do whatever and then we went to sleep.
At 7:30 AM we woke up and had breakfast. At about 9:00 AM we had opening and went to work and shoved dirt to all the ruts in the ground for 2 hours and then we ate lunch. After lunch we had activities to amuse us like: sword fighting, sumo wrestling, water rockets, and there was a swing bridge crossing. At about 4:00 PM we went and had supper then we had free time for about 2 hours and then we played flags till 9:00 PM. Then we had a campfire with songs and skits, then we had snack and went to bed.

Saturday night was cold and bitter. Someone from my troop accidentally left the tent door open. We all were awake around 9:30-10:00. The flag was lowered after a beautiful closing prayer read by Bradley and another scout. Afterwards, we finnished packing up and left until next time we camp, where there will be many treasures in store for us.
