6:00
pm. we met at Zurich Public School. Left ZPS at 6:30. Got to Clinton at
7:00. We took Hwy. #4 pretty well all the way up. We stopped at Tim Hortons
at about half way there. We got at Owen Sound at about 8:30-9:00. We found
our campsite and started to set up the campsite. I slept by myself so I
put all my gear inside my tent so it took less space to heat up. We got
a fire going and later on we went for a walk before bed. I went to bed
about 12:00. I got up at 8:00 and went for a walk to stay warm. Later on
a bunch of scouts went on a scavenger hunt. We got ready for the survival
course and then we did activities. Roberta and I teamed up. We did the
climbing activity first then the compass activity, then we did the log
sawing and we got a record of 23 seconds but someone in our troop didn't
show up, but oh well. Then we did the knot tieing. Then we did the survival
course. We did very well because the only thing we could improve on is
timing. When we had to start a fire our timing was very high and it was
also high in tieing knots. Then after that we went back to do the activities
and the last was on fire lighting. we got up to 10 inches. Later on we
went to the hockey game in Owen Sound. It was the Owen Sound Platers against
the Guelph Storm. After that we went for a walk to stay warm. I went to
bed about 12:00 again. I got up about 8:00 and went for a walk, then started
to get packed up at about 10:30. Then we went to the big hill on our tobbogans
and at 12:00 we left and then we got home at about 3:30-4:00 pm.
